Im finally settled and comfortable with my working life now and since I’m officially done with my high school career, I can have more time now to do whatever. & I’m proud to say it. Most people take their parents for granted and take advantage of them. I’ll admit that I do talk bad about them from time to time, but I still love them no matter what. Having this new job as a waitress made me realize this.
Since I started my new job, I’ve been trying to get my parents to come out to eat so I can serve them, but they always said no. At first, I just thought they were being ignorant since they heard the food sucked from my aunt and uncles. But tonight, they told me the real reason. They said their hearts wouldn’t be able to take it if they saw me serving others and working so hard…
It really made me feel grateful and happy to know that they thought about me like that. They were always saying how much they didn’t want me to work for asian people since they are tougher and much more picky. & every time they said it, I would just roll my eyes and ignore them. But now I know their real intentions.
They always care, but they just never show it.
